Rules and Regulations of the Resthaven Cemetery

Resthaven has been designed to last through the years. It has been recognized as one of the finest cemeteries in the area; this is due, in part to its rules and regulations as well as the cooperation and understanding of its property owners. If each property owner will help us to keep the cemetery beautiful, we can promise to perform the finest service available anywhere.
 

Visiting Hours

Resthaven has no gates. Thus you may visit whenever you wish. The office is open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday.
 

Landscaping 

Planting or digging by other than cemetery personnel is prohibited. All permanent planting must e under the cemetery’s supervision and in accordance with officially approved plans of the landscape architect if the full beauty of the cemetery is to be preserved and enhanced.
 

Floral Regulations 

Artificial flowers and decorations (this includes but is not limited to: Flags, solar lights and wind chimes all placed in the vase or not) will be permitted on the graves only during the winter months: November through March. They are no to be used during the growing season: April through October.

Grave blankets and Christmas decorations will be removed February 1st and all other artificial flowers and decorations will be removed April 1st. 

Potted plants, floral baskets and artificial arrangements may be placed on the interment location only on Easter, Mothers Day, Memorial Day, Fathers Day, Forth of July and Winter Holidays. Artificial arrangements may be placed, two (2) days prior to the holiday. They will remain on the graves for one (1) week following the Holiday. Anyone wishing to retain arrangements they have placed will need to remove them before that time. 

Invertible Vases Only, preferable of non-staining non-rusting bronze, are to be used as floral receptacles on the graves. They are instantly usable, yet promptly out of sight when not in use. They prove indispensable, preventing a cluttered unkempt appearance and assure preservation of utmost beauty at all times. Glass jars or vases, tin cans, pottery or similar containers are prohibited. 

All items picked up by the cemetery will be retained for fourteen (14) days and then disposed of unless claimed by owner before that time elapses.
